A Falko wildflower walk along the Pembroke coast

February 7, 2022 1:53 pm

Date: Saturday, 19 February 2022
Time: 14:00-16:00
Location: Pembroke to Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq

BirdLife Malta’s Falko youth group are meeting for our first event of 2022. We will be enjoying the coastal nature of the Pembroke shoreline along to Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.

This route exhibits habitats of mostly coastal garrigue (Mediterranean scrubland). Amongst this environment are many wildflowers at this time of year, especially a variety of native orchids. We can scour the garrigue in search of orchids and practise our botanical identification skills. This walk has numerous spots of uneven terrain, so be sure to wear sensible shoes.

If you are between 14-24 years old, join us and spend an afternoon in nature with like-minded nature-loving young people.

To book please click on the button below and fill in the form.

The starting point will be in Pembroke Gardens, under the canopies at the top of the gardens, here.

The finishing point will be in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, near here.

Both locations are accessible by bus or car.
