Date: Saturday, 20 November 2021
Time: 16:30-18:30
Location: Foresta 2000 Nature Reserve
Calling all Klabb Ħuttaf members! Fancy an evening stroll around the beautiful Foresta 2000 Nature Reserve? If so, come along to an exciting night walk on Saturday, 20 November!
Surround yourself in night-time wildlife in one of the most biodiverse locations on the island. We will have bat detectors so we can identify which of Malta’s 11 bat species are lurking in the darkness. We also recommend you bring a torch so we can search for chameleons, which can be found in plentiful numbers at Foresta 2000. However, if using a torch, we ask that you create a quick and easy red-light filter for it, so we have minimal disturbance on the wildlife. For a quick guide on how to create a red-light filter for your torches, click here.
Foresta 2000 is also famous for its fantastic views across the valley. If we are lucky with the weather, we may be able to watch a beautiful sunset from an incredible viewpoint as well! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and suitable clothes for the weather.
This event is for Klabb Ħuttaf members and their families ONLY.
