Easter is just around the corner so come along to celebrate with a day out in nature full of fun-filled activities!
Easter Egg-Citement is one of the most anticipated events that BirdLife Malta organises. It is an excellent opportunity to have a day out with the family, be in nature and enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt and other activities within Simar Nature Reserve!
Activities
Bird ringing

You will have the chance to watch bird ringing, a conservation tool that gives us insight into the lives of birds.
Birdwatching & Nests and Eggs workshop

Children will be guided to do some birdwatching and learn all about why birds create their nests the way they do and what materials they use. Children will also learn why bird eggs have different shapes, colours and patterns!
Games and Quiz
Hide 3
Children will put their knowledge to the test as they race against the clock to reunite some bewildered birds with their nest and their clutch of eggs.
Arts and Crafts
Olive Grove
Children will experiment with creating unique bird and egg peg crafts, and younger children will do some colouring!
Easter Egg Hunt
Area behind kiosk
Thre will be four Easter Egg Hunt sessions. Each session will last for around 45 minutes and is open for children 3-11 years old.

Places are limited to 45 children per session due to limited space within the reserve. Therefore, we ask that only one parent/guardian attend with each child. However, there is space for other parents to wait either within the visitor centre or in the open green space next to the reserve.
