Time: 7:00-14:00 (Due to the end of daylight savings, we’ll be starting a little earlier than usual (the birds don’t change their clocks! 🐦).
It’s time to announce our first autumn walk! Want to see some fascinating birds up close? Join BirdLife Malta Events & Activities Group on a walk and witness bird ringing at our bird sanctuary on Comino (Kemmuna)!
07:00 – Depart Marfa Pier by boat to Santa Maria Bay, Comino
We’ll enjoy a guided walk across Comino, including:
- A visit to the BirdLife Malta ringing station and bird ringing demonstration
- Santa Maria Battery
- Santa Maria Tower (with a short talk)
- The Blue Lagoon (with time for an ice cream, if available)
- Comino Chapel
- We’ll return to Santa Maria Bay for a 2:00pm boat back to Marfa Pier.
We’ll be meeting the participants at 6:45 to leave by boat at 7:00 sharp. The walk is easy-to-moderate with some rough terrain, so we recommend appropriate footwear.
Participation is €15, and booking is required. The fee includes the boat transfer and a donation to Din l-Art Ħelwa for our visit to Santa Maria Tower. Additional donations are welcome and appreciated.
