Your gut has more bacteria than you have thoughts when you are overwhelmed. Might as well feed it something good!

Meet your host: Dr. Lidia Babenko is a medical doctor, naturopath and psychotherapist with over 30 years exploring how the body gets better at being healthy. She combines modern medicine with naturopathy, Ayurveda and psychology, and firmly believes food should never feel like punishment – it’s our most everyday medicine, and it can be delicious too.

This is a practical session, not a lecture. You’ll experiment, taste, and learn the real science behind fermentation (it’s not witchcraft, it’s just very patient bacteria) – how to prepare vegetables correctly and create the right conditions for a safe, successful ferment, no complicated equipment required.

Each participant will prepare one jar of fermented vegetables and receive guidance on how to care for it at home as the fermentation develops.

No previous experience is required. All ingredients, materials and containers are included. Feel free to bring your own jar to fill it in!
