This special evening invites you to slow down, enjoy the landscape, and explore the natural and cultural heritage of Salina in a welcoming, informal setting. As daylight fades into dusk, the salt pans come alive with colour, atmosphere, and wildlife, creating the perfect setting for conversation and discovery.
The programme for the evening includes:
- An engaging panel discussion exploring current environmental topics and local perspectives, featuring:
- Stephen Saliba – Team Manager at the Environment and Resources Authority, specialising in native habitats, species protection and Natura 2000 management.
- Timothy J. Tabone – Maltese botanist and ethnobiologist specialising in the flora, traditional folk medicine and herbal heritage of the Maltese Islands.
- Camilla Applegren – Environmental activist and founder of the Malta Ranger Unit.
- A selection of wine and light snacks to enjoy throughout the evening
- A guided sunset tour of the historic Salina salt pans, offering insights into their history, ecology, and continued importance
