Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026
Time: 19:00-22:00
Location: Dwejra Tower, Gozo
Join us for a collaborative event between the BirdLife Malta LIFE Tetide project team, Wave of Change, Astronomical Society of Malta and Din l-Art Ħelwa, for a unique evening blending nature and night skies- an opportunity to experience shearwater calls and a star-filled sky.
The historic 17th-century Dwejra Tower offers the perfect setting to witness one of Malta’s most captivating summer spectacles: the calls of Scopoli’s Shearwaters returning to their cliffside nests at dusk. As a designated Dark Sky Heritage Site, Dwejra provides exceptional stargazing opportunities away from light pollution, while also being home to several hundred pairs of breeding Shearwaters.
