Did you know that the gulls around Malta are not just “seagulls”? They are actually many different species of gulls and terns, each with unique appearances, habits, and age differences. During Gulls Day, you will learn how to distinguish and identify them. Whether you’re completely new to birdwatching or an experienced birder, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and discover!
Salina Nature Reserve is renowned for its abundance of gulls. Some can be found resting in the saltpans throughout the year, but others visit only during the winter months, which makes January the perfect time for you to stop by!
