Become a Nature Guardian! Enrol for our Nature Guardians Warden for a Day summer 2024 course.

There is more to summer than the beach and the sea – nature has so much to offer and that is what we will be exploring and learning about in our next Nature Guardians course! All this whilst having fun and making new friends.

What are you waiting for! If you are aged 7 to 12 years and have a keen interest in nature, then our Nature Guardians summer course is tailor-made for you.

COURSE DETAILS

Starting on 9th July and running for 10 consecutive Tuesday evenings until 17th September (with a break for the Santa Marija week), the course will take a group of 14 children on a fun-learning mission at our Salina Nature Reserve. (see the calendar below).

  • Session 3 Tuesday 23rd July 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 4 Tuesday 30th July 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 5 Tuesday 6th August 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 6 Tuesday 20th August 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 7 Tuesday 27th August 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 8 Tuesday 3rd September 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 9 Tuesday 10th September 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm
  • Session 10 Tuesday 17th September 2024, 5:00pm–8:00pm

Under the guidance and supervision of BirdLife Malta staff, the group will learn how to monitor water quality, how to plan and roll out habitat restoration plans and how to care for nature in the best possible way.

APPLICATIONS

Applications are now open and will close on Wednesday 15th May (or before, if fully-booked). The cost of €220 covers all 10 sessions, outings transport, materials for the course and also includes a free T-shirt with the Nature Guardians logo. Meeting point will always be Salina Nature Reserve at 5:00pm, with each session of the course taking three hours. When necessary, transport to other sites will be provided by BirdLife Malta.
