Calling all members! Join us for an evening of facts and frights at our 16th Century salt pans in Salina Nature Reserve. You and your family will be led along a scary walkthrough in one of our eerie barns where you will learn about the often-feared creepy crawlies, bats, spiders, moths and reptiles! As well as this, we will delve into the history of the salt pans and uncover what it was like hundreds of years ago!
We will undertake a bat survey along our footpath using bat detectors and we will be able to take an up-close look at some moth species using our moth trap! Also, not to be missed is the nearby Palaeolithic Salini catacombs which are shrouded in spooky history, just a short five-minute walk from the reserve.
There are three sessions taking place: 18:00-19:00, 19:00-20:00 and 20:00-21:00. Each session has room for only five families/groups, so book fast!
To book your place, please fill in this form.
This event is appropriate for children aged 6+.
There is parking available around the corner from the reserve here.
Don’t forget to wear your spookiest Halloween costumes!
