Our popular annual picnic is back after a year’s break due to COVID-19! We are thrilled to be able to invite you to join us, BirdLife Malta, for a picnic at our Simar Nature Reserve and enjoy being immersed in nature with your family and friends!
Arrival is from 5pm and you can spend the evening how you wish. There will be nature-based activities suitable for children and adults alike, like bug spotting, birdwatching, and nature crafts! Or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the peace of the gorgeous Simar Nature Reserve. On arrival, enter the visitor centre and a member of our team will guide you to the idyllic Olive Grove, where we will be located. There will also be opportunities to explore more of the reserve throughout the event.
All you need to do is turn up with your own food, drinks and picnic blankets and enjoy yourselves.
Booking
Participation is FREE! But places are limited to a maximum of 12 groups so booking is required. To reserve your place, fill in the Google Form by clicking on the button below.
With the ongoing threat of COVID-19, we have reduced numbers to ensure there is space for social distancing throughout the event. Apart from this, surfaces and activity apparatus will be sanitised regularly. Please bring a facemask as these must be worn when not seated with your picnic.
