Date: Tuesday, 26 January 2021
Time: 18:30-19:30
Location: Online (Zoom)
Bird ringing studies have been ongoing for decades at Falsterbo Bird Observatory. As the southernmost peninsula in Sweden, Falsterbo is one of the most well-known migration hotspots in Europe. The site attracts both birds and birders in significant numbers, especially over the late summer and autumn months.
For the past few years, BirdLife Malta bird ringer Timmy Micallef has been seasonally working at the observatory. During our next event organised by our Events & Activities Committee, he shall be speaking about the Swedish organisation’s research work and his experiences while based there as a licensed ringer.
He will also be hosting a Q+A session after the presentation, should you wish to know more about his work.
