A Plastic Ocean: Film showing and group discussion

July 11, 2020 8:04 am

Date:            Sunday, 2 August 2020
Time:           19:00-22:00
Location:    Salina Nature Reserve

Did you know that every item of plastic that has ever been created is still with us on the planet today? In the mid-50’s we were told that plastic was suitable for single use and could simply be thrown away. We now know that to be untrue yet we continue to treat it as such. Join us at Salina Nature Reserve to learn more about plastic pollution and how you can help prevent more plastic reaching our environment.

Join us for a free glass of wine or juice to watch A Plastic Ocean. This is a documentary all about the environmental impacts of plastic on our oceans. Afterwards you are welcome to join us for a discussion based on the film you’ve just watched to learn more about how you can help the environment. You can watch the trailer for this documentary here.
