We’re nearing the end of our five-year-long LIFE Arċipelagu Garnija project which focused on the land-based threats for the Yelkouan Shearwater in the Maltese Islands.

To celebrate this, we are organising a closing webinar to share the experiences, challenges and results we have obtained through this project.

On behalf of BirdLife Malta, Transport Malta and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) – the partner organisations implementing the LIFE Arċipelagu Garnija (LIFE14 NAT/MT/091) project – we are therefore happy to invite you to participate in the webinar “Collaboration for Conservation of the Yelkouan Shearwater” which is being held on Zoom on the 9th and 10th of July 2020.

The webinar will kick off with a keynote speech on seabird conservation in the Mediterranean. This will be followed by the presentation of the results obtained in the conservation of the Yelkouan Shearwater in Malta through the actions undertaken by the LIFE Arċipelagu Garnija project. On the second day of the webinar, there will be online workshops on monitoring light pollution for seabird conservation and monitoring breeding colonies of seabirds.
