Autumn Members’ Afternoon

October 21, 2019 10:54 am

Date:            Saturday, 23 November 2019
Time:           15:00-17:30
Location:    Salina Nature Reserve

After having such a fantastic time at our Summer Members’ Evening in August, we will now be holding another event in autumn, this time at Salina Nature Reserve, exclusively for our wonderful members! If you couldn’t make it to the last one or simply want to come along again, this is a great chance to meet some fellow members and find out a little bit more about how your amazing support helps nature and wildlife in Malta.

Starting at the Salina Nature Reserve Visitor Centre, we’ll take a step back in time to learn about the fascinating history of the site and how the salt pans came to be. You’ll also get to find out more about the species this site attracts and how you can identify them! You can then put your identification skills to the test as we take a scenic walk around the reserve where we will finish up at Kennedy Grove for a picnic together.

Each member is welcome to bring a plus one to this event to share this special experience. If they aren’t a member and decide to sign up on the day, you’ll both receive a special gift!

We need to know how many people will come, so please register here. You will receive a confirmation a week before the event.

*Please note this event is for members and we won’t have extra activities for children. However, families are more than welcome to join.

**As the event is due to go ahead at the end of November, it will be dependent on weather to avoid a wet and windy walk! We will confirm in advance if the event is to go-ahead based on forecasts.

***Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided at the Visitor Centre. We also encourage you to bring your flask if you would like to have something on hand for the walk. For the picnic, please bring your food and snacks.

If you are not a member but would like to become then click here.

We look forward to seeing you there!
