Time: 09:00-15:00
Location: Salina Nature Reserve
Join us at Salina Nature Reserve for a workshop to explore the best practices for a more sustainable ecotourism. The workshop is entitled “Conservation as a counter-seasonal opportunity for Tourism: Best practices for a more sustainable ecotourism”.
This is part of the BirdTourise Erasmus+ project: BirdWatching in the Islands, that was managed along with our partners SEO BirdLife from Spain, LPO from France, Hellenic Ornithological Society from Greece and LIPU from Italy with the objective of boosting sustainable birdwatching tourism in Mediterranean islands. We will discuss the outcomes of the project, have speakers with strong expertise on Maltese flora and fauna, birdwatching and ecotourism followed by a standing lunch, an informative walk around Salina and of course networking sessions where you can ask questions to our experts during coffee breaks. Download the full agenda here.
Participation is free, but booking is needed. For bookings or inquiries, send an email to [email protected]. Please note that a limited number of participants will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
