Visit us at Science in the Citadel in Gozo and you will discover Malta’s migrating birds!
Science in the Citadel takes place within the historic walls of the Citadel in Victoria, Gozo. It is a free festival that celebrates the science and technology of Malta with exhibitions relevant to Gozo’s biodiversity, geology, agriculture, seas and skies.
Together with many other NGOs and institutions, BirdLife Malta will give two special contributions:
- Science Fair – Discover Malta’s Migrating Birds: Every year millions of birds embark on an epic migration journey…but would you be up to the challenge? Race against time to guide your migrating bird across the world making sure to avoid the threats along the way. You will also learn more about the LIFE Arċipelagu Garnija project by exploring the sounds of migrating seabirds with a headphone set, looking at the science of bird ringing and what this can tell us about the migration of the Yelkouan Shearwater and Scopoli’s Shearwater.
