Date: Sunday, 28 October 2018
Time: 10:00-16:00
Location: Għadira Nature Reserve and Foresta 2000
Let’s celebrate together the opening of our nature reserves after the summer break!
This is a great opportunity for families to explore two of Malta’s most breathtaking wild places – Għadira Nature Reserve and Foresta 2000.
Start the day at Għadira, pick up a copy of our ‘Tiny book of BIG challenges’ and work together as a family to complete all seven challenges and discover some of the hidden wonders of nature. You will be given a map which you can follow to reach Foresta 2000 where there will also be games, family activities and, best of all, the chance to see some amazing wild animals in their natural habitat.
This event is completely free for all the family, although donations will be gratefully received on the day.
From the following weekend (Saturday, 3 and Sunday, 4 November) BirdLife Malta’s nature reserves will be regularly open again for the public following the summer break. Għadira Nature Reserve opens every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00, and Simar Nature Reserve opens on Sundays between 10:00 and 16:00. Foresta 2000 is open all year round and is accessible 24 hours a day. Entrance to all our reserves is free of charge and there is no need to book to visit.
