BLM Events and Activities Group is organizing a nature walk on Comino (including a bird ringing session!)
The day trip will commence from Santa Maria Bay and proceed to BirdLife’s bird ringing station. We expect to spend approximately 1.5 hrs here, for all to see and experience this fascinating process and learn about this important research method.
From there we’ll head past the former Pig Farm and towards Santa Maria Battery. We will then trek along the southern coastal area of Comino and onto Santa Maria Tower, continuing towards the Blue Lagoon area and then onto Santa Maria Bay for our return boat trip to Marfa pier.
Sturdy trekking shoes are recommended, and participants must carry their own packed lunch and water.
The trip is open to all on a first come, first served basis as there are limited spots. Booking deadline is 20th April 2026 (unless fully booked before).
Participating fee is €10 per person. This must be prepaid when booking, in order to confirm your place.
We shall meet at 7:45 as the boat departs sharply at 08:00 from Marfa pier and the return trip is expected to leave Comino around 15:00.
