Date: Saturday, 13 September
Time: 14:00 – 18:00
Location: Buskett Woodland
Have you ever caught sight of a Marsh-harrier or a Honey-buzzard? Or perhaps spotted the smaller Kestrels or Hobbys? Buskett is one of the best places to witness birds of prey during their autumn migration — and if you’re lucky, you might even see the flocks of the colourful Bee-eaters or the distinctive Hoopoe!
Grab your binoculars and join us as we take it to Buskett for a birdwatching session in a prime birdwatching spot on Saturday, 13 September. We should be able to see a variety of species, especially birds of prey, on their autumn migration during the day and evening. We will also have experienced birdwatchers present to provide some of their birdwatching tips, techniques and expertise.
Please register for the event on the link below and follow our Facebook event for further updates.
In case of questions do not hesitate to reach out at [email protected].
NOTE regarding the location: Since the birdwatching session will take place in a part of Buskett that is off the beaten track, keep in mind that you will need to walk across rough terrain to reach the area. Please wear suitable footwear. We will be providing suggestions for parking locations. All information, including the meeting point, trails, and parking details, will be provided in the confirmation emails for participants.
NOTE regarding the weather: Please be aware that if the weather does not permit us to hold the session on the 13th, it will be postponed to Saturday, 20 September.
