We’re thrilled to invite all nature enthusiasts to an unforgettable trip to Comino! This adventure is perfectly timed for the peak of bird migration, offering a rare chance to witness extraordinary species.
What’s in store?
Start your day with a morning bird-ringing session at Comino Bird Observatory. Early May is prime migration season, and Comino often delivers spectacular sightings. On favourable days, dozens of bird species can be ringed in just one morning. Keep your eyes peeled for special visitors like Nightjars, Bee-eaters, Golden Orioles, Turtle Doves, and more!
After the ringing session, we’ll go birding and trekking to explore the island’s rich and diverse ecosystem.
Group will meet in Ċirkewwa at 6:45 AM. The exact location will be in the confirmation email. Departure is promptly at 7:00 AM. Please note that the event date is subject to change based on weather conditions.
The event itself is free, but the boat trip costs €10 per person (cash only, payable directly to the boatman on the day).
The registration is mandatory for each participant.
