Date: Sunday, October 6th, 2024
Time: 8:30 – 17:30
Location: Salina Nature Reserve (Visitors’ Centre), Buskett Woodland

All young enthusiasts of nature, EuroBirdwatch is back for 2024, and we invite you to be a part of it!

On Sunday, October 6th, BirdLife Malta will host a full-day event designed especially for young people, where you will learn birdwatching skills from Zero to Hero. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this is a perfect opportunity to deepen your understanding of bird species, their habitats, and migration patterns in Malta. You’ll also get an introduction to ethics and specifics of bird photography and enjoy fun, interactive activities.

We will start the day early, as birds are most active in the morning, so don’t miss out!  You’ll learn how to prepare for birdwatching, identify different bird calls, and behaviors, and record your observations. In the afternoon, we will move to Buskett for an evening session to watch birds roosting before sunset.

Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided for all participants.  Drop-off from Buskett will be arranged. If you prefer to leave earlier, you may do so on your own.

The number of participants is limited to 25 slots. Please click the button below to reserve your place.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the outdoors and if you have binoculars and cameras, bring them along!

Join us for a day of learning, observing, and a closer connection to nature!
