Join BirdLife Malta’s Events & Activities Group on Saturday 8th October 2022 for an 8-km medium-difficulty circular trek at Cavagrande del Cassibile followed by a late lunch at Agriturismo Leone (Noto province) including antipasti, starters, main courses, dessert, wine and water.
Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve is known for having one of Europe’s biggest canyons, which is about 10km long and 300m deep. The whole area is surrounded by green colours, ponds, natural pools, waterfalls, limestone steep walls, birds and tiny lizards. The path will be mostly offroad including some slippery stretches if wet. Suitable footwear is recommended.
The day trip, including the catamaran fare, port charges, coach transport, lunch, tips, guide and VAT, will cost €160. To apply you need to be a BirdLife Malta member. If you are not a BirdLife Malta member, please become a member here first. You will need to enter your membership number to proceed with the booking.
Booking is open until Saturday 24th September 2022 on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be done by following the steps below:

To participate you must be at least 16 years old and, if not Maltese, you need to carry and quote your passport number.
Cancellations made up to eight days prior to departure will be refunded, but they will be subjected to a charge of €20. Thereafter, no refund will be applicable. On the day we will meet at the Virtu Ferries Passenger Terminal in Valletta at 03:45 to check-in at 04:00, with the ferry leaving at 05:00. The trip back leaves at 20:30 from Sicily, arriving in Malta at 22:30.
