Calling all Gozitans! Join BirdLife Malta’s LIFE PanPuffinus! project team and Dwejra Marine Environmental Education Centre for an exciting and informative evening.
Join us at Dwejra Bay for an exciting evening of exploring the local marine ecosystems. We will have a tour and presentation of the Dwejra Marine Environmental Education Centre, followed by an informative talk from our LIFE PanPuffinus! team who work to conserve and protect local Shearwater species. Following this, we will be heading out for a night walk near the cliffs to listen to the calls of the Yelkouan and Scopoli’s Shearwaters as they fly in to land to nest in the cliffs.
This event will cost €2 per person, all money going towards the Dwejra Marine Centre. Payment will be collected on arrival.
Shearwater-calling activity is variable and might pick up late, we are happy to stay some time past the event end time if any participants would like to.
Spaces are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment. This event is open to all, however, Gozitans will take priority.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes suitable for rough and rocky ground. Please bring a red-light torch. If you do not own one, we have a few to lend.
